Can there be other charges?

CGC can upcharge based on the post-graded valuation of a comic or magazine. This is determined solely at the discretion of CGC and its graders. It is important that clients indicate the true value of their collectibles.  This will help us select the appropriate grading tier on your behalf.  While this will greatly reduce the chance of CGC charging additional fees,  it does not guarantee it.

In the event that The Comic Doctor, at its sole discretion, determines that the fair market value is higher than the value stated by the submitter, The Comic Doctor will move the book to the appropriate higher value and the additional fee will be the responsibility of the submitter.

If any additional fees are incurred, they will be charged to the client once orders have been received back from grading. These fees must be paid before the items are released back to the clients.

Can these grading fees change?

CGC service fees are billed in USD. As a result, prices can fluctuate with the exchange rate and can change without notice. Additionally, CGC can also update their fees at any time which can also cause price increases as well.
